About Lou

After high school graduation, Lou signed a professional baseball contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. Over a ten-year career, Lou also played for the New York Yankees organization and coached in the Cincinnati Reds organization.

 Lou got his B.S. degree from Troy State University (AL), graduating after his baseball career. He coached a year in Troy, then spent four years with Merrill Lynch as an Account Executive. Lou moved into the training and development field with Pat Ryan and Associates of Chicago, Ill in l974. After 1980, he did contract training for numerous national organizations and over a thirty (30) year period worked with over 2,800 companies in 44 states and two foreign countries. Lou has spoken in every city in the USA with a population of over 150,000 people.

After retiring from the training and development business, Lou spent 15 years as a radio host of Lou in the Morning. He retired in 2017. Lou previously hosted a weekly TV show on BLU TV entitled UP TALK. 

Lou is the author of twelve books. Those books that are presently in print include A TOUCH OF GRAY... THE RISE OF THE POARCH BAND OF CREEK INDIANS... REACH BEYOND...  WINNING THE HEAD GAME,  PEOPLE SKILLS IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA. Lou’s first theater production: LAUGH, GIGGLE, AND GRIN WITH UNCLE LOUIE AND FRIENDS have been presented in several theaters.

 Lou spent 15 years as a radio host of Lou in the Morning. He retired in 2017.

 Lou is a retired member of the National Speakers Association, Society of Professional Trainers, past president of the Atmore Rotary Club, and retired Chairman of the Atmore Area Hall of Fame.

 Lou has two sons, Lance and Kevin, two stepdaughters, Shannon and Amanda, and one stepson, Leland. 5 grandchildren, Drew, Max, Harper, Ryder, and Raleigh. He resides in Fairhope, Alabama
